Cheers Nat  Very Happy .

I picked the honda up from dk in stoke, they bring loads of old jap stuff in from the states,, well worth looking at if you fancy a project that isn't riddled with corrosion...

A 550K3 with Comstar wheels, never seen that.
I had one with spoke wheels and a cam chain that flapped in the breeze!! Cool

Cam chain was fine, although it did have the usual starter solenoid failure at one time.... and notchy head bearings. The bike was a 77 model well before comstar wheels, the rear was off a cb650 and the front including twin disks was off a 400 superdream, they both fitted straight on with no mods except spacers.... The front forks were already drilled so the twin disk conversion was straight forward. The pipe was a marshall and the shockers were marsocchi.... it also had a stove-enamelled frame. Back in the day it was starting to look dated next to the dohc GS550’s and Z650’s... but these days i think the sohc hondas look very cool, hence the recent purchase  Very Happy

Mine would never start and I failed to spot the 47 washers behind the cam chain tensioner adjuster!!
