| I'll be there, but on the German Tank I think. Poor old Alf can't keep up with these modern 80's sportsbikes | |

| Met everybody at Squires for the ride to Wetwang, well I met Wozzap and Haggler which meant we had no-one who actually knew where the chippy was. Our leader, Swiv, had a bit of a brain fart and couldn't make it, no doubt he'll explain why later. Anyway, the ride over was dry, we found the chippy and they were definitely "Premier League " so well worth the effort.

| Artie, there was a bit of drizzle as we left Squires, but as Haggler had come all that way up from Northampton we had to make the effort to find the place and it had dried up by the time we got to South Milford for him to refuel. Wolfie, there's an al fresco dining area at the front, so no need to hang around street corners or under lamp posts.

| Another great day out and top ride with out the need of a sat nav (although I could have done with one on the way up coz missed the junction and had to take the long way round) To re enforce Mick's point we must have sat out side talking bollox for a good couple of hours in the sun alfresco. Good to meet up with you Mick again and good to meet Mitch too. Got home at 7 after 320 or so miles and bike never missed a beat Here's to the next one | |

| You're a real adventurer Haggler.. well done. I did 330 in 2 days last week and ached all over Mon/Tues.. or maybe that was the cold I also caught. | |

| What a great afternoon yesterday, well for most of us that is. I arrived at the rendezvous point to find no one there. As I'm always late, this was a bit of a surprise, but I soon discovered that our leader was suffering a technical issue with the GPZ. Knowing that Haggler was coming from Northants, I was feeling the pressure as I didn't even know what "Wetwang" was, let alone where it might be. Fortunately Mick arrived as my salvation and despite Phil telling me to look out for a guy on a ZZR (actually a Z1R, but he was a bit stressed at the time), we managed to find Pete. Squires was a bit sparsely populated but the brew was most welcome. It was a diesel day (in more ways than one, eh Phil) in Mick and Pete's case as they haven't got any strokers on the road and my case as I couldn't face cleaning Alf So after a bit of faffing, it was off to Wetwang (turns out it is a place after all!) and Mick plotted us a great route which made it a proper fun ride. Fortunately the chippy was open as we were starving by the time we got there I'm pretty sure that they have a revolving pricing board and as I apparently "Look Southern" (eh Phil ) it landed on seven quid for fish and chips Apparently the fish were too small so we got topped up The A team were soon tucking in This was definitely the coolest bike of the day and much respect to Pete for the 320 miles round trip for chips As Pete said, two hours flew by talking bikes and life, so it was soon time to go our separate ways. Great to catch up with Mick and meet Pete, but we really missed you Wolfie, Swiv and Artie | |

Look lovely anyway. Yeah, they do small fish for £8-50 and the withering look from the girl behind the counter comes free | |

| I set off in good time....to make sure there were no delays I brimmed the tank , with twelve quids worth of bloody DEISEL!! Hence my no show. I got my lad to come out and give me a lift back to me mams garage and picked up a jerry can (jerry can for the deisel) a long flat blade screwdriver to reach the carb drain screws and a 10mm spaner for the tank. oh, and a carrier for some fresh unleaded. Holding that tank at arms length while it trickled out of the fuel tap (like a slow wee) has certainly reached some shoulder muscles....it took ages. It fired up in a belch of smoke but eventually cleared. i rode it back to Dewsbury and it seemed fine. I started it up today, no smoke or (new) rattles and plugs look fine. So....I got away with that one | |
