Subject: Evening rideout with chips Thursday 7th June Fri Jun 01 2018, 20:30
Just a heads up for a rideout we are having next Thursday evening. Taking in some of Gra,s NTRWR route its a ride over the moors to a quality chippy in Delph followed by a run over Holme Moss and back to Huddersfield taking in some nice countryside roads. Meeting time is 5.45ish at the layby just off Junction 24 M62(Huddersfield) with a view to setting off at 6.15 the latest. Obviously its all weather dependant. I know its a big ask for you guys in the East but if you fancy it it would be great to have you along Oh and come on anything...

We've seen Delph.. Been there done it..
Actually it's a lovely little mill town.. I could well go for it Artie.. but I'll have to kick around for a while, I daresay I could find a friendly kettle somewhere.
I have friends, just not many..

I,m running it late Gra because me and Bof are finishing work later than usual so its not giving us much time to turn around but it would be a shame to miss a nice evening.

The traffic was light once we got away from that M62 slip road, who's idea was that?? Run the risk of getting shot down there you do..
Artie took us down a fair chunk of the NTRWR route and it is a great ride too, he then took us into a little cul-de-sac where the locals were frowning on us turning round and smoking their quiet little idyll.
Before pulling up abruptly at a lovely little Chipperie in Delph itself.. lovely fayre served by a chatty blonde wench and eaten on proper picnic tables outside.
Delph is a lovely little mill town fairly quiet, a couple of pubs with everyone sat outside on tables taking in the late evening sunshine.
Then Artie took us back to the light side over Greenfield road but turned off just before Holmfirth and took us over Holme Moss.. the wrong way! I never noticed before that Derbyshire is on the other side!
On the Woodhead Pass a lorry had created a line of cars but eventually we worked our way to the front and passed him, to find that he had cleared a good few miles of road with his slowness.
Turning left back towards Holmfirth it was time for me to depart and I headed off towards Denby Dale then stopped for a much needed slash.. only to be passed by a couple of them also heading off that way..
Thanks for a great night out Artie and the boys.. Bit of a hike for an Eastie, but worth the wait.
