Quick engine overhaul.

I was at a loose end this aft with all this crap weather so decided to remove, strip, overhaul, rebuild and refit an engine. Sorry it's not a bike but at least it's a 2 stroker Very Happy

. It was all rebuilt and run in within an hour, ready for thrashing come some decent weather.

Engine rebuilt.

Installed into chassis.

All finished and run in. Reason for the overhaul is that this has been hiding in the garage for the past 7 or 8 years since my son last used it. It was not preserved properly when he put it away and hence was seized solid. New bearings required. All perfect again now.

Then I thought "Childs ride on toy"..

Then I realised it was ON the kitchen counter.

I couldn't believe it was so small.. nice work mate.

This one is 3.5cc or 0.21 cubic inches. I have another one which is a massive 4.1cc or 0.25 cubic inches.

Is that the cylinder liner i see, in brass, whats the ratio of pre-mix,,

Hi John. Yes that's the liner. It uses Nitro fuel (16 to 25% nitromethane). The oil is already mixed in when you buy the fuel, about 11%.
