| Yes it is, it sounds great too! I was never a big fan of the original 4 into 4 pipes and they are so expensive to replace anyway... the delkevic was less than 300 quid and is full stainless steel, | |

| Thanks Rob. The paint work isn't very good, especially as I dropped something on the tank! Just need to stop a carb from pissing fuel out of the overflow and it'll be test ride time. | |

| ive just read this nobby/rob, well done, but I think you are lucky in that it was in decent nick before you started and so don't deserve any credit until it gets old and rusty and you restore it properly next time in approx. 40-50 years time.
what is it like to ride in comparison to your rd250?
on my rd350 back in the 70's I could get that far ahead of them on the twisty bits that it didnt matter about the extra 10-15mph they had in top speed so back then I thought they were a bit boring
but as ive aged I can appreciate the beauty in them but am far too scared to attempt a classic 4 stroke rebuild
my zx6r is 19 yrs old and I might have a go at minting that it will still do over 160 so it seems mad taking it to bits
serious question - cos im about to restore a rusty bike - when you got the bits powder coated who blasted them? and why didn't you get the frame powder coated? | |

| The cb is great fun to ride.. it sounds great with the 4into1, bit bigger and heavier than the rd but not much faster.. I didn’t powder coat because my original intention was to just touch up the frame...but by the time i had primered a few areas i decided to do the rest.... Old honda’s are great fun, always loved the 750 emgine.... | |

| not wishing to thread jack but I have a French moped with rusty frame and mudguards (painted not chrome) and wondered whether to paint or powder coat them and what prepping I need to do first to get rid of rust. shag and his vapour blasting? or rust treatment out of a tin? | |
