You can get a decent run up, that road looks more like a racetrack, especially when there are few/no cars to pass.

Only a couple of miles from my house that road I go up there regular,there are usually some hang gliders knocking about,stolen cars get dumped and burned out and there is also the odd crash Shocked

There was almost always a wreck or two opposite where the road comes up from Scammonden back in the 70s/80s.

And people taking parts off them..

I presumed they had come barreling up that long straight road in the dark and were too late to stop when they saw the give way sign..
