i can get a pair of piston kits from japan in 3 working days, but i
can't get 500mm of 20mm steel tube from rochdale in over a week? Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Did you order the steel from a fruit shop maybe?

Tube normally comes in 3 or 6m lengths. The stockholders here would have it in stock but they're not geared up to sell short lengths.

Unless there's something special about it like the grade or you want seamless I would be surprised if it's not a stock item.

this is advertised at cut to any length from 100mm up to 1000mm.
sized from 10mm o/d up to 75mm o/d. all in stock.
free post, so presume they used a carrier pigeon which got tired somewhere over stoke and walked the rest of the way down the a50 Very Happy

You need to steady down a bit.
By the looks of your avatar, you've had a rough paper round though.
Fitting them Meerschaum pipes must have been hard work looking at that pic! Shocked
